Sarajevo, 2 September 2010 – A two-day workshop on gender equality in law enforcement, policy formation and peacekeeping was held in Sarajevo this week. Opened by the Head of the EU Police Mission, Commissioner Stefan Feller, and led by Giji Gya, Executive Director at the International Security Information Service (ISIS) Europe, the interactive workshop provided a framework to highlight misconceptions about the subject of gender equality in policy-making and gender as a general concept.

Sarajevo, 1 September 2010 - The Working Group for the fight against cyber and high-tech crime met this week and discussed the preparation of the specialized training for the BiH law enforcement and prosecution, which should be organized soon in one of the European Union countries with highly-developed police capacities when it comes to combating this form of crime.

Sarajevo, Belgrade, 31 August 2010 – In a joint police operation, law enforcement agencies of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina arrested six persons suspected of smuggling and dealing in weapons and explosives. Five persons were arrested during the delivery of explosive materials in Kotroman village in Serbia, while the supplier was apprehended in Foča, BiH. The coordinated police operation resulted in seizure of 15 kilograms of plastic explosives, four activating mechanisms, six hand grenades, and two handguns.
